In 2012, BDG purchased this 111,000 square foot office property located in Atlanta’s highly desirable Cumberland/Galleria market of northwest Atlanta with a longstanding investment partner. Institutionally controlled and maintained since its construction, this two-story, two-building project had benefitted from substantial improvements to the local road system and from the surrounding development of high-density Class A office space and Cobb Energy Performing Arts Center. BDG was attracted to Galleria 75 because of its main competitive advantages of favorable rental pricing and instant access to Interstates 75 and 285. The area subsequently saw the development of several luxury apartment projects and a major corporate office build to suit. BDG recognized extraordinary returns on its investment through a sale of the asset in 2016 to a publicly traded REIT with plans to redevelop the property to residential, office and retail mixed uses.
